David and Linda Archer Cornfield are philanthropists and environmentalists who believe in the power of travel to learn about the world, and in the power of photography to spark curiosity and foster insights and understanding.

The Cornfields support education initiatives that enhance people's ability to innovate and to solve complex, real-world problems; their environmental work focuses on pragmatic, sustainable approaches to better stewardship of the earth.

David grew up in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and graduated from the University of Waterloo with a B.A.Sc. in Systems Design Engineering - Computer Engineering Option.

Linda grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1982, she received a B.S. in Applied Science (major in Systems Analysis) from Miami University (Ohio). While in college, she spent a semester studying in Luxembourg at the Miami University Dolibois European Center (MUDEC).  In 1989 she received an M.S. in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management with a concentration in Technology Policy.  She has PADI open water diving certification and a private pilot's VFR license.

After successful careers at Microsoft Corp, they both retired early and now follow their passions for sailing, curling, travel, philanthropy and technology ventures.

You can follow their adventures around the globe by checking out their photography at smugmug.com or on the travel page. They are avid photographers and all the images on this site are their own.
